New Brighton sunset - My Sunday Photo
Taken a few weeks back when I was up visiting Mrs DannyUK on the Wirral, this New Brighton sunset was beautiful.
Perhaps it seemed greater because it was some rare time spent with my other half, but even looking at this picture now, I feel calmer and happier.
The Wirral has a lot to offer, though I must admit that I’m not a fan of New Brighton in general. Apart from the nearby driftwood pirate ship, ( a previous My Sunday Photo blog post!) the town is busy and rushed.
It’s a great place to go for a stroll with the kids though, which is precisely what we were doing when I snapped this.
The way the sun reflects on the Irish sea and the faint outline of wind turbines lining up on the horizon make this an oasis of calm captured in a photo for me.

I love the sun flare you captured in this shot. Great fan of sun flare! And that is a massive wind farm! #MySundayPhoto

This is beautiful, the wind turbines give it a lift and draw you in to the photo

I love the windmills int he distance, I know they are controversial but I think they are quite beautiful, especially out to sea where the noise isn’t an issue

I love this photo, you’ve captured the sunflare perfectly. I am intrigued by the little orb of light on the left hand side of the photo, do you have any idea what it is?

I hadn’t even noticed it before you mentioned it! I think it’s just a trick of the light.

It is a great picture. I love taking photos. As to the little orb Anne was referring to, my old iPhone (iphone6 plus) would constantly do that on every outdoor picture I took. Apple says it is an internal reflection on the lens when taking pictures with the sun involved. They offer solutions such as tilting your camera or covering the lens with your hand, but everyone in the forum and myself found this not to be helpful at all. If you google “iPhone photo green dot” you will see this is a widespread issue. Most say it is from a bright light source and the best way to fix your photos is to download apps “Retouch” or TouchRetouch”. These apps let you draw a line and press a button and the green dot is gone. Back to the beginning, I really like your picture, I am guessing you have an iPhone? Here is a fun trick/tip. IPhone has a minimal editing, but when you take a pic from your phone to post on Instagram, Instagram has a very easy to use photoshop that can enhance your photo in seconds. In Instagram, select a photo, before you post on the bottom of you screen click edit and scroll through your options. It is very easy and fun after trying this a couple of times, you will be hooked. Also, after you post an edited picture to Instagram, it adds the edited pic to your camera roll so you only have to edit a pic once and now you can use it elsewhere besides Instagram. Again, great Pic.
