As winter draws in and the nights get darker earlier, driving home inevitably means navigating busy roads by moon and streetlight.
It was only a few days ago that I made my way down Parkway with those very thoughts bouncing around my head. If there’s one thing that driving for a living does, it’s give you time with your thoughts, no matter how mundane they are.
But my daydreaming was punctured by the intrusive sounds of a piercing ambulance siren, coupled with the alarming flashing blue lights. As I headed towards the Odeon roundabout, racing the other way was an ambulance and a police car, both in an obvious hurry.
