My Sunday Photo - Perfect London Wedding Venue
One of the nicest things in life is seeing two friends get married, and that’s exactly what Mrs DannyUK and I have been celebrating this weekend in what may be the perfect London wedding venue.
I’ve known Kate for seven or so years now, and although I don’t know her spectacularly well, I know her well enough to have seen her meet, fall in love with and now marry Andy.
The planning of their wedding has taken just under two years, and having seen the venue yesterday it’s understandable. If ever there was a time to use the word perfect, then this was it.
Set in the heart of London, in a beautiful old building that in recent years was covered over making a weatherproof courtyard, the hot Summer’s Day only added to the serenity.
It was being in London that led to this weeks My Sunday Photo. After a week of driving up and down the country and spending time with the kids, it was the first time that the girlfriend and I had to ourselves where we could do what we wanted to do without children, tiredness or back pain restricting us.
Staying in the Grange City hotel near the Tower of London, our view from the second-floor bedroom overlooked a big piece of the ancient London Wall. We were over the moon to be able to see it from the window, though we were trumped by friends who had a room nine levels higher and could see the Tower of London and various other London landmarks.
This photo, though, is the beautiful Devonshire Terrace, in the shadow of the Gherkin, where the wedding reception was held.
