Things kids say
My two eldest girls were just arguing with each other. The eldest, C, is 6. Her sister, A, is 4.
A started the argument by demanding C’s bracelet. As the argument took place about 2 feet from where I was sitting, I was fully expecting a few “bad” words to be heard, but was pleasently surprised at A’s quick-thinking to replace her normal “poo-poo head” taunt with a mere threat:
“If you don’t let me have that bracelet, then I’ll call you a name that you don’t like!”
My six year old replied innocently: “What, Catherine?”
Before you ask, no, her name isn’t Catherine!
