Doughnut Productions’ Speaking in tongues
Doughnut Productions are back again with a new production. A If you’re free this weekend, check them out.
I wrote about Doughnut last Autumn as they prepared their second production. They are back again with their innovational immersive theatre experience.
They have their third production happening at the Cockpit Theatre in Marylebone on the weekend of 1st and 2nd April.
The play follows the lives of 9 characters and how they get caught up in a web of lies and deceit. It involves lust, love, loss, a missing woman, a found shoe and lots of snogging!
Edit: I’ve just learnt that they have sold out both evening performances for Friday and Saturday but still have some tickets available for this Saturday matinee at 3pm.
Doughnut Productions are still the only company internationally that puts their audience in the heart of the action on swivel seats. Their unique 360-degree theatre format means that there isn’t a bad seat in the house.
The audience can view the action on the four stages that happen around them by swivelling for the best view in their own seat. You can see the theatre by viewing the video below.
